Tiggly Shapes review and giveaway

My kids are very blessed that they have more toys than they could ever play with in a day. They also have a large variety of toys from natural wooden toys to battery-powered educational toys. Being that my husband and I consider ourselves quite techy, it’s no wonder they my kids are into technology as well. Both kids are very interested in the iPad and Princess Peach has adopted mine as hers.  In the last few months, Princess Peach has mastered quite a bit on the iPad. She can get access to her videos and choose which one she wants to watch. For someone who can’t read it’s pretty impressive!

We recently received Tiggly Shapes for review. Tiggly Shapes are 4 rubberized 3-D shapes (star, triangle, square, and circle) used in conjunction with your iPad. The shapes are easy to hold yet gentle enough for toddlers to be pounding the shapes on your iPad.  There are 3 free apps to choose from; Tiggly Safari, Tiggly Draw and Tiggly Stamp. This product is for kids 18 months to 4 years old. Tiggy Shapes come with a felt pouch for storage and easy transport.

I can’t say enough good things about this product. It was love at first sight with Princess Peach. From the moment we opened the first app she has been totally engaged and learning! She doesn’t even realize that she’s learning while playing with Tiggly. It’s the cutest thing watching her play with these apps because they are bright, engaging and interesting.

No only does Tiggly Shapes teach children about shapes, but they learn eye hand coordination. Tiggly Draw gives children an opportunity to be creative. The sky really is the limit with this app! The best is that you can take a picture (see below) of your children’s masterpieces. Tiggly Stamp lets children create different scenes with the stamps and a variety of items in those scenes. They can then record a story about the scene. Princess Peach and I loved making up stories together! Tiggly Safari is Princess Peach’s favourite app. She loves the different animals that she makes with the shapes.

One drawback about Tiggly Shapes is that there are only 3 apps. Tiggly Shapes really offer a whole world of possibilities and I would love to see manhy more apps! I think an app about the house using the shapes, creating food in a restaurant or kitchen, maybe dressing figures in different clothing using the shapes and the alphabet would take this product over the top.

If you can’t tell already, we LOVE Tiggly Shapes in our house! If you are looking for a new interactive toys for your child for the iPad go and buy Tiggly Shapes!

My daughter likes Strawberry Shortcake reader on my iphone. The only ones on the ipad she has used are on her grandma’s ipad and I am not sure what they are called. I know it is something about cakes and feeding the kids the number of cakes they want.
