Mommy and me matching

When I found out I was pregnant the first time, I kept saying “I need a girl, I need a girl”. I repeated this for weeks from the time I found out I was pregnant until the day at 18 weeks when I found out what I was having. When the ultrasound tech said it was a girl, I was over-the-moon happy. The truth is, I would have been over-the-moon happy with whatever the baby was, but I always pictured myself having at least one daughter. I loved the idea of a little real-life baby dolly to dress-up in hair bands and dresses. And then my dream came true. Right from the beginning Princess Peach was my doll and I took great care into her cute coordinating outfits, matching headbands and socks. It’s not surprising that at 6, Princess Peach loves wearing dresses, hair bands, make-up and is a girly girl!

Princess Peach loves to go through my jewellery, and my accessories all the time and try them on and wear them. I did the same to my mom as a kid and truth be told I still do! For example, she had an amazing jean jacket and I fell in love with it and somehow it ended up at my house (wink, wink). As much as it’s fun to share things with your kid, I love mother-daughter matching. I don’t think it’s a look that should happen all the time, but I love that there are so many cute options to match with your mini-me! From matching t-shirts to dresses and more, I’ve curated the cutest matching mommy and daughter finds that are available on amazon.ca
