A heart full of love

thank you

I have to thank everyone for all the messages, emails, texts, phone calls, snail mail, packages, flowers, food, company and most importantly support that I received since I’ve shared the news about my cancer diagnosis. It has been nothing short of overwhelming and has made me realized how loved I am by so many people.

When I decided to go public and share my diagnosis with everyone at once I was confident that it was the right decision for me and my family. I wanted to be the one to tell everyone what was going on with me. I’d rather be the source and up front rather than the message getting passed through people. After I pressed publish my heart may have palpitated a few too many times but the outpouring of love and support has been more than I ever expected. Those messages got me through the first few rough days.

I can’t count how many people check in with me on a daily basis. I am touched and appreciate all of it.

I know that my journey has just started but I have to acknowledge it now because it  has already made such a big difference.  The support and outpouring of love has helped to keep my attitude and spirit going in a positive direction. I sometimes feel like I’m too happy of a person with breast cancer but I can’t help it. I’m truly blessed to have each of you in my life. I have 3 weeks in between each chemotherapy session and I’m feeling better and more like myself everyday. The last few days I sometimes forget I have cancer because I don’t need to go to the hospital or take any medications so it’s not part of my life this week.

So to everyone reading this I’m sending you all a huge hug and a big THANK YOU. My heart is so full of love from each and every one of you.
