When I met The Hubster just over 10 years ago (wow!), we joke that he wooed me over with his family’s cottage. The cottage is part of a cottage community and it’s very unique as they run their own summer camp. As the cottage is not too far from Toronto when we met we pretty much spent most weekends up at the cottage. We would swim in the lake, play tennis, read books, relax, go for bike rides, hang with friends and family. We just got to be together and enjoy one another. It became a special place to both of us that we even had our engagement pictures taken up there! For The Hubster the cottage has been his summer since he was born. His family moved up there for the entire summer and many members of his extended family along with friends have cottages in the community as well. It’s a very special place that is unlike no other. We have made many special memories there over the years and when we found out we were pregnant we couldn’t wait to share this experience with our kids!
Both kids made it up to the cottage shortly after birth! Seriously. Even after a very traumatic birth with Princess Peach we made the trek up when she was 10 days old. Both Princess Peach and Little Dude are summer babies so it’s so nice to have the option of being out of the city and near a lake!
Little Dude’s first trip up to the cottage was when he was 9 days old! I couldn’t believe that we were going but we did and stayed the night too! Pretty impressive with a newborn and a 23 month old!
Over the past few years we have made some amazing memories together at the cottage. The Hubster and I agree that some of our favourite family memories have been spent together in the summers at the cottage. This past summer our family kayak rides were awesome. Little Dude would often nap and it was just nice for the four of us to be together enjoying time on the water.
From the beginning, I have trusted Pampers with diapering both kids. Pampers products are available in Loblaw stores, along with Atlantic Superstore, Extra Foods, Your Independent Grocer, Zehrs Markets, Valu-mart or Real Canadian Superstore.
Pampers has made an amazing video documenting a newborn’s journey of firsts. Grab the tissues!!! It’s such a beautiful video that it brings me back to my first moments with Princess Peach and Little Dude.
Win it!!!
One lucky Canadian reader will win an amazing prize pack valued at $150! The prize pack contains Pampers diapers, wipes, Ivory Snow and a $100 Loblaws Gift Card.
