10 things you didn’t know about me

Over 2 years ago I shared this post Fun Facts About Moi. It’s been such a long time and my readership has grown so much I thought it would be fun to share 10 things about myself that maybe you didn’t know! If there is anything you want to know about me, feel free to leave a comment below and I’ll answer it!

Here we go:

  • I grew out of my peanut allergy at 27 years old. The allergist told me to go home and just eat a peanut. So I did with my EpiPen sitting right beside me! Up first were Pad Thai and Reese’s peanut butter cups! mmmmmm

  • I will never wear “street pants” into bed. The thought of outside germs infesting my bed give me the heebie jeebies. So if you ever drop by and I’m wearing funny shorts or no pants, you’ll know why 🙂
  • In my 33 plus years on Earth, I have yet to lose a grandparents. I’m very blessed and I know that. I’ve had my three grandparents around to watch me and now my kids grow up.

  • I’ve had the same recurring nightmare since I was a small child. I never remember my dreams or nightmares but this one is always SO clear and vivid
  • I hate cleaning. I obviously have to do it but I can`t stay focused enough to finish one room at a time so usually the house ends up messier than when I started!
  • I can not live without coffee. I drink so much of it now that I think I would literally go into major withdrawal.

  • Baking is a new hobby of mine. My mother is an amazing cook but doesn’t bake. My Nana baked but everything ended up burnt or as we called it “Creole Style”. I really enjoy baking and although I might not always measure everything perfectly, it tends to turn out quite well!
  • The Hubster and I went to the same high school, but didn’t know each other. Weirder is that my dad’s first cousin married his dad’s first cousin so our parents actually knew each other before we knew each other as they had attended the same family events.
  • I use to never have to rely on lists or writing things down because my memory was that amazing. Since having kids, my brain has turned into mush that often remembering to write things down doesn’t happen!
  • I use to play competitive basketball and work out all the time. Clearly, that hasn’t happened in ages and it bothers me. I hope to take up running and maybe even run a (short) marathon as motivation

Thank you to all of you, my readers! I really appreciate each one of you and  are so thrilled that you choose to spend your time reading what I have to say.

  1. I am hoping you’ve tried Nutella now that your peanut allergy is a must!
And I would love to run a (very short) marathon with you, I need motivation…
For the cleaning, delegate… I don’t buy new clothes often (and it shows!) but I’d rather not have to clean.
And for the memory, tell me about it. My iPhone notepad is my new best friend.

I can’t try Nutella because it’s hazelnuts not peanuts. I wish I could. I feel like it would change my life 🙂 I wish you lived closer so we would be running buddies too!

  2. I agree with you wholeheartedly about the no pants at home… err.. I mean no street pants in bed rule.

  3. Erin says:

I also outgrew my peanut allergy later in life. I was so excited! Though I still don’t like chocolate and peanut butter together.

    • mscmommylife says:

I’ve never met anyone else who outgrew their peanut allergy later in life. So cool! I’m in love with chocolate and peanut butter or peanut butter and honey……mmmmm

  4. Aliza says:

Whoa, you must have been so nervous to eat the pad thai and peanut butter cup!!!
And totally agree re: the “street pants” – I like to change even before sitting on the couch or at my desk chair!
Re: the last one – have you thought about trying the classes at GoodLife? A lot of places have child minding! I love the classes – they are really fun and have a great variety.

    • mscmommylife says:

Aliza, I was SO nervous. I had my epi-pen beside me the entire time! I have thought about trying classes at GoodLife. I just don’t have a very good track record when it comes to joining a gym 🙂 Instead of paying and going I tend to just make donations. I’m hoping to change that!

Glad to get to know you a bit more.

  6. Judy Cowan says:

Totally agree on the no street pants in the bed, the idea of that freaks me out to! Yay to being able to eat Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups 🙂

  7. loucheryl says:

You are so blessed to still have your grandparents! Mine are long gone. So are my dad and of my two uncles. Enjoy every moment with your loved ones. 🙂

  8. maya fitz says:

That’s so cool that you grew out of your peanut allergy. I didn’t know that was a thing. Too bad you can’t grow out of your hazel nut allergy.
I’ll go on runs with you… Just let me know when 🙂 xoxo
