I’m not sure that I have ever admitted on my blog my love of reality TV shows. So here I am admitting it. I LOVE Reality TV. Love, love, love. When I was growing up, I use to be obsessed with made-for-TV-movies. I would watch each one of them, but as I got older Reality TV took over the networks. Weight loss shows, singing shows, dancing shows, racing around the world shows, families with more than one wife shows, families with multiple children shows, it doesn’t matter what the subject is. If someone makes it, I will watch it!
In 2011, a new show premiered on The Learning Channel (TLC), called Long Island Medium. They made it, so I watched it. The show focuses on medium, Theresa Caputo who has a very special gift of channeling loved ones who have passed. She’s a housewife from Long Island, with a very special gift of being able to communicate with the departed. Her gift provides closure for the living family and friends of the departed who she is able to communicate. At first when the show started I was skeptical, how on earth was she able to do this? But the more I watched, the more I began to believe. Theresa has the most amazing gift and has provided so many people with the closure and comfort that they are looking for.
In a month, Theresa will be in Toronto and The Hubster and I will be seeing her! I can’t wait. She recently finished the sixth season of the TV show, and The Hubster and I watched it together. He is more than skeptical of her talents. He wants to see her live to see how she is able to channel the departed in real-life versus the TV show. I’m sure that he won’t be doubting her skills once we leave! I’m more curious on how she will channel the departed in such a large arena such as The Air Canada Centre! The day Theresa is coming is also The Hubster’s birthday. I know that only a few people in the audience will receive readings and closure and I’m hoping that The Hubster is on of them! Almost 22 years ago his best friend was killed in a Sea-doo accident. I know her passing has really affected him. I know he often thinks about her and I’m really hoping that she is able to come through the night of his 37th birthday to give him some closure. That would be a gift to remember!
Win It!!!
I’m so thrilled that one Ontario reader will win 2 tickets to see Theresa Caputo Live at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto on June 18th. The prize is two tickets. Any other costs associated with travel, parking, food etc are the responsibility of the winner.
