As a mom to a newly toilet trained toddler we spend LOTS of time in bathrooms. All of the bathrooms at home, bathrooms when we are out and about, bathrooms at the cottage and of course the good ol’ trees at the park 🙂 Seeing that Princess Peach has been toilet trained for a few months now she is starting to get very comfortable with going to the bathroom by herself. She’s also shown some independence when it comes to wiping. Only problem is that a toddler ideas of the amount of toilet paper to use vs. the rest of the worlds amount of toilet paper to use is VERY different. Let’s just say the inside of my toilet bowl has been lined with multiple layers of toilet paper! Thankfully, our toilet didn’t get clogged and all of the paper flushed away!
Clogged toilets is a common problem that Tammy Buchanan knows all too well! She’s a mom, and a plumber who founded the first female owned and operated plumbing company in Nova Scotia, Small Jobs Plumbing. Tammy has a series of videos where she shares tips and advice on how to fix many common toilet problems thrrough the e•z Toilet Fixes videos on Majesta.com. And while you might not always think of it, one of her top tips for avoiding plumbing problems is starting with a toilet paper that breaks down quickly in water. This is especially true if you have low-flow toilets or a septic system, own a cottage or RV or simply have a kid who can’t help but put a little too much in the bowl!
I took the MAJESTA e•z flush shake test. You can try it at home too! To do the challenge you need 5 squares of MAJESTA toilet paper and 5 squares of a leading brand. Put the 5 squares of each into their own water bottle. Fill each bottle with water and seal the lid. Shake away! Then pour out the liquid into their own bowls. It’s really awesome to see how each brand of toilet paper breaks down. Below, you can watch me do the shake test and my results, too!
