The new Kid(ville) in town

Fall (crazy, eh?) is around the corner. With that means fall activity programming. Last year with putting Princess Peach in daycare we had minimal programming to do as her days were planned by the daycare. It was a change from her first year of life, as I literally had her programmed daily from the time she was 5 weeks old. Yes, I started classes with her that young.  This year with having two kids around to plan for I’ve been busy figuring out how we are going to keep entertained each day! So I’ve been looking into different programs and then I found about a new kid in town. Enter Kidville! Have you heard of it yet? Located in Toronto on Yonge Street between Lawrence and York Mills it is a one-stop shop for kids programming. From gym, to art, music, and dance, you can find a class or two (three, four or more!) for your kids all under one roof.

I have been given the opportunity to try out a class with Princess Peach. I eagerly went onto Kidville’s website and started drooling over their programs. Each class description was better than the next. How was I to choose which program we were going to do together? With the birth of a new baby, The Hubster and Princess Peach have spent hours upon hours together. In a way I felt left out of her life a bit because I’ve been so busy with the baby. So I narrowed down my choices and I think I found the best class for us! I’m so thrilled that each week we will have a time where it’s just the two of us having fun, hanging out and learning together!

So which class did I choose? The Rockin’ Railroad! Each week a 4 piece band will be taking us on a musical journey and I Princess Peach can’t wait! Princess Peach has been taking music classes since she was a newborn but we have never done one like this! Currently, she LOVES everything to do with trains as well as music so I can’t wait to see her take part in this exciting class. I must admit, I can’t wait either. Yesterday, I met Cathy Piedra-McKenzie who is the President of Kidville Canada, and checked out Kidville’s facilities before their grand opening this coming weekend. It is a two storey building that is bright, refreshing, welcoming and most of all perfectly suited for little people! If you are in Toronto, take your kids and check out this incredible space at 3420 Yonge Street from 11 am – 3 pm on both Saturday August 24 and Sunday August 25. You will be able to check out in the indoor playground, listen to performances by the Kidville House band, get your face-painted and much more!
