Shift-A-Shade with Clairol #pgmom

Ever since I’ve had kids, I haven’t had many chances to pamper myself. I can count on one hand how many haircuts I’ve had, I wear minimal to no make-up and proudly sport the ever popular mommy ponytail or messy bun. After two kids and much time neglecting myself, I was excited to spend time at Hair on the Avenue in Toronto to Shift-A-Shade with Clairol last weekend.

I was very fortunate to be given a colour consult with Clairol’s own, Luis Pachecho. He looked at my hair, my roots and in minutes knew what he was going to do. I gave him full range to do whatever he thought was best. After all, he is the expert! He decided to mix two colours together for the perfect blend for me. I couldn’t wait to get started.

You know how they say it takes a village to raise a child? Well, it takes a village to give me a makeover! Seriously. I had a whole bunch of amazing people pampering me to make me look my best!  My dye got applied, then I waited about 20 minutes for it to set. It was then washed and upstairs to the hairstylist I went.  Jan, gave me an amazing style which literally took my look from drab to fab! I absolutely loved everything out my new look. I was even treated to a makeup consult with makeup genius Robert Weir. He really knows how to work his magic. Now how do I get this a standing daily date with this awesome team? It was a blast being with fellow bloggers and watch everyone’s transformations!

What I love most about Shift-A-Shade is that I still look like me, just better! The colour is more enhanced,yet it looks totally natural.
