My review of Revive Massage on Demand

I think there are two types of people- those who love a massage and those who don’t. I don’t know about you, but I’m part of the group who loves getting a massage. I always have a lot of knots or sore areas, and it is always such a relaxing treat.

Recently, I had the opportunity to try out a new App in Toronto called Revive Massage on Demand. It’s kind of like the Uber of Massage Therapists. You download the app to your phone, and follow the simple prompts. You first have the choice of 4 types of massage- Single, Couples, Back to Back and Chair Massage/Events. Once you select your type, you choose which modality you would like. They offer 4 which are Swedish, Deep Tissue, Seniors and Prenatal. Once you select which type of modality you want, you select the time which tells you the price and you are able to select the gender of your therapist. From there you select your date and time for your massage. You are able to write in your address and any special notes.

The booking part was pretty easy and straight forward. Once you request your massage you wait to receive message that it’s been booked. Once I requested my massage which was on a Monday morning, I received a text message from the owner in Vancouver within 20 minutes of my request. She was extremely apologetic and stated that all of their female RMT’s were booked for Monday. Lana (the owner) quickly tried to rectify the situation by offering me a male RMT instead as well as a discount for my flexibility. As I didn’t feel comfortable with a male RMT coming to my house while I was alone, I decided to pass and reschedule my appointment for another day. Being summer time, I needed to book a time when I was the only person in the house! Lana had amazing customer service and was quick to help me get another time booked which I really appreciated.

I was rebooked for Wednesday morning with a therapist named  Olena. She came to my house with everything for the massage. She set up in the living room which was the perfect spot. I found her massage table to be very comfortable with cozy sheets. As I’m allergic to nuts, she used grapeseed oils with a little bit of lemongrass essential oil which was lovely. I have had many massages but never with lemongrass. I really loved the scent and liked that it wasn’t something different. So the massage was amazing. When I booked my time, Lana said the massage therapist was amazing and I couldn’t agree more! Olena worked her magic out of many kinks and knots in my body. The hour was really blissful. Not only is Olena a wonderful massage therapist, but you could tell she’s a great person too. Not only does she love what she does but she is knowledgeable and very respectful in your house.

Revive Massage on Demand

So relaxed after my massage

It’s been a while since I got a massage at home, and I really forgot how much I love it. There is something to be said of being in a relaxed state and not having to jump into your car to rush home or run errands. I was just able to rest afterwards in my house and enjoy.

Overall, my experience with Revive Massage on Demand was good. Even though my massage wasn’t within an hour like they say, I still enjoyed it very much and it was worth the wait!

I do have to comment on the price. It is definitely on the pricier end of massages (but you do receive a receipt from the RMT to submit to your benefits) but it is extremely convenient so I’m not sure you can put a price on that! As a parent, business person or an elderly person, having someone come to your house when it’s most convenient for you is amazing.

Until August 20th, my readers can receive a $25 discount on any massage. Simply use the code MSCML25 at your time of booking!
