Phillips Avent Natural Essential Set is essential for a new baby #AVENTmomsCA

I am very excited to share that I am an AVENT mom in Canada! I’m so thrilled that I will be able to try out some new (to me) products and share my opinions with you. There will also be some giveaways too so look out for those….hint, hint…there is one below 🙂

I knew when I was pregnant with Little Dude that I wanted to try breastfeeding, but I also wanted him to be able to take a bottle.  After 7 weeks, Princess Peach was formula fed so I guess I’m a little spoiled with being able to leave baby with dad, grandparents or anyone because they could just give a bottle. It’s very convenient.

By the time Little Dude arrived, breastfeeding was ok from the start so I didn’t feel the need to go and dig up Princess Peach’s newborn bottles to use for him. By week three I wanted him to start taking one bottle a night so what better opportunity to try out some bottles! I received the Phillips Avent Natural Essentials set and the timing couldn’t have been better. The set is BPA free and is a wonderful starter set for any new parent. It includes:

avent natural bottle essential set

  • 2 4 ounce Natural bottles
  • 2 9 ounce Natural bottles
  • 1 microwave sterilizer
  • 2 soothie pacifiers
  • 1 bottle brush

The bottles are super easy to use. There are only three parts which makes cleaning a breeze. There’s the bottle, the ring and the nipple. The bottle is easy to hold and I love the shape of it. The nipple is wide and is breast-shaped to help baby latch. The nipple encourages the same sucking motion as during breastfeeding to cut down on nipple confusion when giving a breastfed baby a bottle. I had no issues using this bottle and breast-feeding which is always a win!

The microwave sterilizer is lightweight, compact and convenient to use! It holds up to 4 bottles and all their pieces and takes 2 minutes (in my microwave) to sterilize the bottles. If kept unopened the bottles will remain sterile up to 24 hours.

Little Dude loved the soothie pacifiers. They were easy to teach an infant to take a pacifier which for me is important as I’m pro-pacifiers! Since he had his tongue tie release he no longer will take a pacifier (i’m devastated about this) but these pacis offered me him hours of soothing. IMG_6207

So when you are talking to your mom-to-be friends be sure to tell them about this set! It`s one purchase that will get them started if they want to bottle feed. Be sure to check out amazon.ca to order your Avent Natural Essential set! It retails for under $70 making it very reasonable considering all the things it includes.

Giveaway: One very lucky reader will win a Avent prize pack valued at $31 CDN.
