I take brushing my teeth seriously and we’ve brushed Princess Peach’s teeth ever since she sprouted her first tooth at 9 months. Since attending the P&G blogger event in October, I immediately changed HOW i was brushing her teeth. Initially I was facing her towards me and I couldn’t understand why she didn’t like brushing her teeth. A tip I learned was to face her outwards looking at a mirror so she can see what is happening. And, oh my, is she ever hooked on brushing her teeth! I can only hope that her great oral hygiene skills continue as she gets older!
So what can you do to ensure that your kids and tweens have great teeth?
1. PREVENTION: Make sure that your children eat lots of fruits and vegetables and cut down on the amount of sugary foods that they are eating. Did you know that your mouth’s natural saliva production is low between meals which makes it a bad time to consume sugary foods.
2. SUPERVISE: Children under 8-9 should be supervised while brushing their teeth to ensure proper brushing is done. Don’t forget about frequent visits to the dentist, about once every 6 months!
3. FLOSS: Flossing your teeth helps remove the plaque and food particles from the parts of your teeth that your toothbrush can’t reach. It’s important to note that research has shown that regular flossing can reduce the risk of gum disease.

One lucky CANADIAN is getting the opportunity to win an Oral-B Tween Teeth bundle (arv $50). The bundle includes: Oral-B CrossAction Pro-Health Toothbrush, Oral-B Pro-Health for Me Vitality electric toothbrush and 2 packs of Glide floss.
