My sister, Auntie Beige, was the pickiest of picky eaters as a child hence her nickname Auntie Beige. She would only eat beige foods which meant no fruits, veggies and one type of (fast food) meat. From as early as I can remember FLINTSTONES™ vitamins were a staple in our household. My mom gave them to us daily. I remember them tasting like a candy and neither of us ever refused taking them. Auntie Beige always prefer the orange and i LOVED the red. MMMM….Just writing about it makes me remember how good they tasted!
Now as a parent to two young kids, I’m so happy that FLINTSTONES™ vitamins are still around for me to Princess Peach and Little Dude (when he’s older). Our household recently was sick for over a week with Princess Peach, Little Dude and The Hubster all sick with different ailments. Luckily or unluckily, I came down with a cold after the rest of the family was healthy. I come from a long line of people who are believers in taking vitamins to keep your immune system running to its maximum potential and keeping those pesky changing of the weather germs at bay. Whenever I feel like I may be getting sick I always try to boost my vitamin intake. Sometimes I can’t always get those natural vitamins from the real source so I rely to other sources like vitamins to make sure that my daily minimum are met. I feel the same way with my kids. I have to make sure that they are getting any boosts that they need.
Here are some interesting stats:
- 67% of moms said healthy meals for their children are often or sometimes compromised because of busy and hectic schedules
- 56% of moms said their children are sometimes fussy eaters, compromising healthy meals
- 50% of moms agreed their children are picky eaters
- 40% of moms agree that they have a hard time feeding their children vegetables

We try to eat right and get outside.
I loved flinstone vitamins when I was a kid!
We tend to eat a lot of chilli/stews/soups.. as well as take extra vitamin c.
We try to eat right get lots of exercise, spend time outside take vitamin c and vitamin d.
I try to stay healthy by bundling up and going for walks!
Wash my hands a lot, exercise and eat right.
We try to get outside, shovelling snow, building forts and tapping trees for maple syrup.
We stay healthy with lots of exercise and activities like skiing and hockey.
We stay warm, make sure to get out and get exercise, eat healthy. I tend to make more soups loaded with more veggies in the winter as well
I don’t…. I really don’t. I miss my winter bikram sessions.. but who’s got 3 hours to spare each day? NOT I!
We do a lot of walking in the winter – outside or if the weather is really bad, at the mall.
To get buff of a budget in the winter, I turn my home into my own personal gym – they always play the music I like, nobody is around to bother me, and I can set my own time and pace! Working out a wee bit every day really does help battle the winter blahs! Who’s with me?!
To stay healthy during the summer months I try to get outside as much as I can stand it in the cold. Mostly I stay in the house… do yoga at home every now and then… stretches… it’s okay. I would love to have a nice treadmill one day to run at home.
I found out my vitamin d level is very low, so I’ve been taking vitamin d supplements.
I take vitamins
going swimming in an indoor recreational centre
I walk to work as much as I can and do a lot of indoor swimming.
I try my best to get outside every day and I take Vitamin D supplements.
