Celebrating dad with Pampers #ThanksBaby #giveaway

I’ll never forget the first moment that I told The Hubster that he was going to be a dad. I wish I had taped it because it sounds too silly to be true. It was December 4, 2010 and we had a friend’s wedding that evening.  The Hubster  was taking a nap and I was straightening my hair. I realized that I hadn’t gotten my period so I took a pregnancy test. Immediately, it was positive. I was in shock. So I had to take another test to confirm that it really was true! I woke The Hubster up and said “we have a problem. I’m pregnant”. He woke up. Looked at me and said “I need more processing time” and went back to sleep! Oh boy! When he woke up and hour later it sunk in that the test was positive and we were both so excited that we were going to have a baby! And then we freaked out (in a good way!) that we were going to be parents!

The next 9 months flew by. We were so thrilled to be welcoming a little girl into our lives.

On August 17, 2011 after a crazy labour, we welcomed Princess Peach into the world! The Hubster was a natural! The two of them bonded right away. They would take their daily walks, play together and he encouraged her to watch hockey with him. Since day 1, she’s had her daddy wrapped around her little finger. They have a very special bond.

Twenty-three months to the day after welcoming Princess Peach, we welcomed Little Dude. The Hubster couldn’t wait to teach Little Dude how to play hockey and tennis.  We were in the thick of parenting chaos but couldn’t have been happier! Those first few months as a family of four were crazy but so amazing.

I always knew The Hubster was a good dad but the last few months he has shown his true colours. He’s not just a good dad, he’s an amazing dad.The Hubster is the most amazing and attentive father. He has gone above and beyond taking care of me, the kids, the house and working! He really wants the best for our kids and is so engaged in their lives.  He often has to play the role of both mom and dad when I don’t feel well. He does meal times, daycare drop off and pick up, bath time, bed time and everything in between. He has made play dates for the kids, has become a ballet dad and keeps them occupied after daycare and on the weekends.
