Planning a birthday Party at Kidville Canada

I love birthdays. I have since as long as I can remember. Growing up we just didn’t celebrate once, or twice. Birthdays usually lasted a week or longer with a variety of celebrations. Now that I have a family of my own, I guess you can say that it’s the same. We celebrate many times, with many cakes. But, since Princess Peach was born in 2011 we have only had one proper birthday party for her- her first birthday. I was so excited about my first kid, and making it through an amazing first year that I wanted to celebrate with our friends and loved ones who supported us throughout that year. Planning her party was fun yet the few days leading up to the actual party were stressful. So stressful. We did everything our selves and we were literally driving around the entire city getting everything we needed. After that party we said never again and since then we haven’t had a party for either child……until now!

Princess Peach, her friends and our family will be celebrating her third birthday at Kidville Canada next weekend. Although her birthday was two weeks ago (see, we celebrate for a LONG time) we wanted to celebrate after the summer was over when everyone was back in city mode. Kidville is located in Toronto and just celebrated their first birthday! We took a variety of classes last year at Kidville. You can read about that here.

Kidville describes its birthday parties as being hassle-free. Sign me up! This is exactly the type of birthday party that I’m looking for. Once we decided that we would be doing our birthday party at Kidville the rest was a piece of cake. Literally. Kidville has a party planner who you work directly with and is your main contact at Kidville once you decide to host your party there. Once the date was chosen and confirmed I received the birthday party booklet. I wanted to meet with Kaela (the current party planner) in person to see how the process is. The booklet is categorized into sections; party package, theme, add-on extras and loot bags. If I didn’t want to meet with Kaela I didn’t have to. That’s how fantastically laid out their party planning booklet is. You just have to check the boxes you want and go!

When I met with Kaela our meeting was a breeze. I had looked over the booklet so I knew exactly what I wanted. We decided on a Big Blowout Birthday Party which includes up to 21 kids (including the birthday kid), a big art table, all paper goods, balloons, staff to set up, clean up and do everything in between. The party will last 1.5 hours and it also includes pizza, juice and cupcakes for the kids. Best of all the package includes loot bags which are Melissa and Doug toys! No running around make, loot bags. We are adding on drinks for the adults and the adults food will be catered by Aroma (more about that in another post!).

As we have a pretty even mix of boys and girls, the theme we chose is Royal Princess and Knight Party. The kids will be able to decorate crowns and swords and even do a little dancing! After that we will head to the gym to play, climb and of course go on the zipline! After my meeting with Kaela, my party planning was DONE. Isn’t that amazing? A few check marks and Princess Peach’s party is planned.

All we have to do now is show up on the day of the party! I can’t wait to be able to enjoy the party with my kids and not be stressed out and overwhelmed. After all, we are there to celebrate Princess Peach and her turning 3!

Those work are so amazing. We’re planning to do that for my son’s birthday party celebration.
