Mother Hen Nutrition Party #iammotherhen

Last week, Little Dude and I welcomed some of our friends (big and little) into our home for a Mother Hen Nutrition Party. Mother Hen, is a family owned Canadian company that makes organic and natural frozen foods. They have a variety of fruits, vegetables and meat purees for babies 6 months and up. The purees are packaged in 2 oz or 4 oz (depending on the puree) plastic pot containers that are BPA free and microwaveable. All of Mother Hen’s products are peanut free, gluten-free, 100% natural and contain no added salt or sugar.

Mother Hen provided me with a customized Nutrition Party Kit that included goodies for everyone! Babies were given cute bibs and colourful spoons for tasting the purees. The mommies were given information about nutrition that is easy to read and magnetized so it can be put on the fridge for easy reference, some information on Mother Hen and of course a coupon!

mhnp3I served three types of purees: apples & prunes, peaches and Californian mixed vegetables. I also baked some fresh loaves for us to enjoy and of course coffee! The party kit also included some games to play and farm themed props to take fun photos!

One of the perks of the hosting the nutrition party was having a place to bring friends together to share stories, experiences, tips and tricks about feeding our children. Some of my friends haven’t started solids yet so it was a great time for us to all share with one another our routines and first foods.

We had a great morning hanging out, talking baby food and learning all about Mother Hen!

Be sure to check out Mother Hen’s website to find a retailer near you to purchase their products. If you are interested in hosting your own Nutrition party for your friends or mommy group check out their Facebook page.

What’s the best advice you can share with a new parent about starting solids?

Disclosure: I received compensation for hosting the Nutrition Party. All opinions and experiences are my own.

  1. I loved mother hen products when my guys were little. I never pureed meats for them, so their line up made it easy to buy some to add into the baby food I did make

  2. Sounds like a convenient and nutritious line of products. Love that the purees come in plastic pot containers that are BPA free and microwaveable!

  3. I found about these amazing products after my kids were out of baby foods! I love how fresh it is.

Best advice is if your baby doesn’t like a food initially, keep trying. Mine didn’t like avocado at first but now he does. Mother Hen is fab! My baby boy eats their meat purees. LOVES them!
