A week of awesome in Toronto thanks to #pgmom

Two weeks ago, I was provided with three awesome opportunities in 4 days thanks to P&G! All of the awesomeness started with family day at the Toronto Raptors game with Swiffer, than the P!NK concert with COVERGIRL and a press conference at Sick Kids Hospital with Hilary Duff thanks to Duracell.

The Toronto Raptors and Swiffer

On Sunday, my family and I along with 2 other P&Gmoms and their families were given an opportunity to attend Family Day at the Raptors Game. Swiffer is the official hardwood cleaner of the Toronto Raptors. Swiffer has a  cleanup crew was super fast ensuring that the court was clean for our team. Unfortunately, the Raptors lost the game to the Denver Nuggets but we all had an amazing time!

P!NK and COVERGIRL

There are some opportunities in your life that seem like a dream. That’s how I felt meeting P!NK! I’ve been a huge fan of hers for a long time now and have seen her in concert once before. Myself and 8 other P&G bloggers were able to not only sit in floor tickets for her most recent show in Toronto, but also meet her! I was so excited for a mommy night out (and off!). I put on my new COVERGIRL makeup and off I went. I met up with the other bloggers and we went to meet P!NK! I was so nervous. What do you say to an amazing performer? Well, I wished her a Happy Hanukkah. Why? Well, P!NK is half-Jewish and seeing that the concert was on the 7th night of Hanukkah it was appropriate. She mentioned that before meeting us she lit the candles with Willow (her daughter) and Willow didn’t want to say the blessing over the candles. She was super sweet, and down to earth. It was truly fantastic meeting her.

After meeting her the anticipation of the concert grew! I couldn’t wait to see what she had in store for us. Let me tell you, her “Truth About Love” tour does not disappoint. P!NK sang the entire concert while flying through the air in different positions, spinning on a huge hanging circular object, and dancing. She is truly an amazing performer. Her energy didn’t waver for one moment during the entire show. She sang her heart out from the moment she came on stage until the moment she left. She had me on my feet for the entire time too, dancing and singing along with her.  Her body is pretty incredible too! She’s totally ripped and in unbelievable shape. After having 2 kids in 23 months, I am a little bit, okay majorly jealous.

Hilary Duff and Duracell

Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto has a very special place in my heart. They saved my life when I was six and because of their hard-working physicians, I don’t have any linger effects of the disease that I was stricken with. When I was given the opportunity to  celebrate the launch of Duracell’s Powering Holiday Smiles program in support of Children’s Miracle Network with Hilary Duff I jumped at the opportunity and I am so happy I did. The event started with the Etobicoke School of the Arts women’s choir singing some beautiful songs for the children in attendance. I’m not very good at guesstimating the amount of people in any given space, but I would guess that there were around 30ish kids who were able to attend the event. We then learned about how Duracell batteries are powering hospital playrooms around Canada ensuring that all the toys are up and running for all the kids who want to play with them!

Then the magic happened! Hilary Duff and her 2 elves passed out toys and Duracell batteries to all of the children who were in attendance. Hilary was beyond amazing. As a mom to a toddler son you could see how truly important this experience was for her. She spent time talking and genuinely engaging with all of the kids trying to get to know them and getting the perfect gift for them! Watching her bring so much joy to these sick children’s faces was truly amazing and something I won’t forget. Many of the children were huge fans so it made the experience extra special for them.

She was even kind enough to pose for a picture with me too!

Thank you so much to P&G for giving me three very special and unforgettable opportunities!
